A ruined Hogwarts

Chapter 19 Peeves’ Prank

"There is a little treasure behind this painting. Peeves never tells anyone..."

Owen pushed aside an oil painting of a drunken lady. The woman in the painting screamed and slid to the ground, sitting there crying and feeling sorry for herself. The wall behind the portrait was hollowed out, and there were piles of broken porcelain and tattered scraps of paper, covered with dusty spider silk.

It was probably left by a little wizard a long time ago, and it has no use value now.

"Oh, they were broken into pieces by Peeves the same day they were hidden by the baby. The poor baby was crying..."

Owen put the painting back in its place, ignored the portrait of the lady who looked at him like a betrayed man, and continued to move forward.

Peeves followed him shamelessly, sometimes going to heaven and earth, and sometimes a big face suddenly appeared from behind the wall, with a smiling expression that was a little flattering.

"There is a secret passage hidden nearby that only Peeves knows. He is only willing to exchange a secret with others..."

In a corridor on the fourth floor of the castle, Peeves said playfully.

Owen looked around, nodded thoughtfully, and made a mark on his newly drawn map.

Then he turned into the corridor on the other side and walked around the prize display room. It was filled with crystal glass cases displaying prizes, with trophies, shields, medals and statues glittering in silver and gold. Owen also saw a trophy for special contribution to the school from fifty years ago, and the name on it was T. M. Riddle.

"Peeves knows that this little kid has done what the boss did," Peeves smiled evilly and leaned over. "All you need is a little secret. Peeves can tell you all about his favorite underwear color..."

Owen couldn't help but cough a few times and looked at the ghost standing upside down in the air with strange eyes. No, he wasn't interested in Voldemort's underwear at all!

Also, when you say this so loudly, it makes me feel like our death is imminent.

"Ahem, do you know what he did after graduation?" Owen walked out of the trophy display room calmly.

"Disappeared, probably died somewhere. Peeves never cared about the kid after graduation!" Peeves said with a playful smile on his face.

Well, it turns out that this guy was also kept in the dark. Owen almost really thought that Peeves knew everything.

Owen shook his head and made a mark on the map as he passed a statue of a one-eyed witch. He remembered that there was a secret passage leading to Hogsmeade behind the statue.

On the eighth floor of the castle, Owen came to the Room of Requirement for the first time, but did not choose to go inside. He also passed by the door of the Gryffindor common room. Under the curious and alert eyes of the Gryffindor students who were constantly coming and going, Owen showed an elegant and polite smile to show friendship.

The Peeves beside him snickered and snatched the books from their hands, threw the pages into the sky, lifted up the carpet under his feet, pulled it over everyone's heads, or suddenly disappeared and disappeared from view. It came out of the air, grabbed someone's nose and turned it around.

Like pouring a bowl of water into a pot of hot oil, the crowd exploded in an instant, with screams and shouts coming one after another, and people running around in panic or annoyance. Peeves is like a rat crossing the street, everyone is shouting to beat him, but no one can beat him, but he makes him even more embarrassed.

Owen's mouth twitched. He really wasn't looking for trouble, but Peeves was obviously a walking troublemaker. But seeing how much fun they were having, Owen had no intention of stopping or explaining. He just lowered his head and wrote on the map, then turned and walked away.

"Quack, quack—run!" Peeves screamed and chased after him, his armor clanging along the way.

"Catch that Slytherin! He's the one who brought Peeves to cause trouble!" Ron Weasley yelled angrily after being pulled by Peeves until his nose turned red.

How could Gryffindor students tolerate this? This is no longer a provocation, this is a kick in the ass! The other party is blocking the door of their lounge to kill them!

For a moment, everyone was filled with indignation, and their scorching gazes seemed to burn a hole in the robe on Owen's back.

Owen put away the map and pen in his hands very quickly, and it seemed as if they disappeared out of thin air. He turned around and smiled brightly at everyone, then ran away like a rabbit.

A person was running in front, and a group of people were chasing behind him. Some people even secretly pulled out their magic wands. There was no point in explaining anything at this time. A large group of young wizards who were so angry that they couldn't listen to anything.

"Stop if you can!" the angry little wizards shouted while chasing.

Why are you standing still? Want to have a vigorous magic battle? Come on, it's thankless whether you win or lose, and there's a high probability that you'll be deducted points and put in solitary confinement for violating school rules... Although Owen likes to have fun, he doesn't want to be the one himself.

Glancing at the snickering expression on the face of Peeves flying beside him, and the triumphant expression of a successful prank, Owen knew that this guy did it on purpose. Peeves' nature is to tease people, and it is impossible to make him submissive with an interesting secret, but Owen's original intention is not to subdue him.

Turning a corner with brisk steps, several curses passed through where he was just now and hit the wall. Owen glanced at Peeves, whose face was full of laughter, the corners of his mouth curled up slightly, and his steps stopped abruptly.

The Gryffindor students turned into this corridor with cheers and looked at the curtains at the end of the corridor floating, as if someone had just passed there, and the wind blew the curtains.

"Hurry up!" The situation before them made them instinctively think that Owen had rushed through the corridor.

Owen hid behind the curtain at the entrance to the corridor, listening to the messy footsteps passing by one after another, playing with his wand in his hand, and glanced at Peeves with a smile on his face, who only poked his head out of the wall.

Peeves' black eyes, which were always full of malice, were darting around at this moment. There was no need to guess. Owen knew that this guy definitely wanted to remind others of his position.

"Lock the tongue and seal the throat." Owen muttered softly.

Peeves opened his mouth wide and pressed his tongue tightly to the roof of his mouth. He struggled to open and close his mouth, but no movement came out. He covered his throat with his hands and crawled into the wall with a panicked expression.

After hearing the footsteps outside, Owen Shi opened the curtains and walked out of the corridor not far behind everyone, walking on his original path.

"Hey, good job. George, your stomach hurts at the right time."

"Fred, don't tell me you put the experimental aunt's potion in my drink..."

"You must be overthinking, George."

"No, I mean, why doesn't your stomach hurt?"

The faces of a pair of twins appeared in front of Owen, with bright red hair and identical playful expressions on their faces. The two of them joked with each other for a while, and then looked at Owen together: "Hey, tell me, why does Peeves listen to you?"

"If he really listened to me, I wouldn't be chased now." Owen shrugged and said with a smile, "What, are you trying to arrest me?"

"It depends. We can be bribed," the twins said with a wink.

"In that case..." Owen's hands separated at a touch, and the wand in his hand disappeared instantly, replaced by a white plastic tulip.

He flicked his finger and flew the fake flower bomb into the air: "Then I will use this to show friendship."

After saying that, Owen walked past the two of them with a cheerful smile and walked deeper into the corridor.

The twins looked at each other and winked wildly at each other. They did not choose to take action, but just watched Owen's figure Shi Shiran walk away.

The fake flowers that fell to the ground made a muffled sound, and after a burst of white smoke, a white strip of cloth appeared under the flowers, with a simple smiley face drawn on it with a red pen.

"Is this transfiguration? No, it should be some kind of Muggle mechanism..."

"Hey, this guy isn't boring."

The twins leaned in front of the artificial flowers, leaning their heads against each other and murmuring.
